Energy Education Australia has been asked to manage TAFE SA's solar car Kelly in the Adventure Class of the challenge leaving Darwin, Northern Territory on Sunday 25th October 2009. The 2009 World Solar Challenge or Global Green Challenge as it is also being referred to as has 43 Entrants from around the world all gathering at darwin before the drive south to Victoria Square

A message from Paul Caica 'On behalf of the State Government, I am delighted to support Energy Education Australia's efforts to participate in partnership with TAFE SA, in the 2009 World Solar Challenge. Involvement of South Australian Secondary Schools in the Challenge will assist young people develop skills and interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics - areas in which there is a skills shortage, and that are vital to our future sustainability.'
